Coming soonKennmarq.comAI content marking for the EU AI Act
Send an AI picture, clip or song and get it back with the marks the EU AI Act and California ask for: an invisible watermark and signed, time-stamped C2PA Content Credentials.
Fig. 1 — A marked picture, taken apart
- The picture, looking just as it did.
- An invisible watermark: an ID hidden in the pixels that leads back to the credentials if the metadata is stripped.
- Content Credentials: signed, time-stamped C2PA metadata saying the file was made with AI.
Two marks, one call
Send a picture, clip or song and get the same file back, marked: the machine-readable marks the EU AI Act and California ask AI providers to add. No certificates to buy, no models to host, no servers to run.
- Invisible watermark
- An ID hidden in the pixels, frames or sound: TrustMark in pictures, Video Seal in video, AudioSeal in songs. It leads back to the file’s credentials when platforms strip its metadata.
- Signed Content Credentials
- A C2PA manifest saying the file was made or edited with AI, and by which provider’s system, signed and time-stamped by our own RFC 3161 server. Any C2PA reader can show it.
- Checked before it leaves
- Every picture and clip is read back for both marks before it’s returned. If either one fails, so does the call.
Proof anyone can check
- A public transparency log
- Every signature and time-stamp goes into an append-only log with signed roots before the file is delivered.
- A free checker
- Anyone can check a picture in their own browser: both marks, read without the picture leaving their device.
- Open standards
- C2PA and IPTC are open standards, and TrustMark, Video Seal and AudioSeal are open source: the marks stay readable with anyone’s tools.
Frequently asked questions
When can I use Kennmarq.com?
It isn’t open yet. We’ll announce it in our news when it is.
Who is it for?
Anyone who ships generative AI and must mark what it makes: AI apps and startups, developers building with coding agents, and ComfyUI users who want marked files straight from their workflows.
What does a mark say?
How the file was made and, if you send it, by which provider’s AI system — never which person made it, or with which prompt.
Do my pictures have to leave my machine?
No: with the Python SDK’s local mode, a picture’s watermark and manifest are made on your own machine, and only the manifest is sent to be signed and time-stamped.
Where does the name come from?
From Kennzeichnung, the German word the AI Act uses for marking, plus mark. It sounds the same in English and in the main EU languages: KEN-mark.
